Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous
I remember hearing Rilo Kiley for the first time in high school. My best friend Shana bought one of their cds and we were listening to it on the way back from Vermont. I told her it sounded a lot like music that would be played in a movie where the main character drives off into the sunset. That feeling still holds true.

The Hidden Cameras - The Smell of Our Own
I hadn't heard of The Hidden Cameras until 2007, when Sean introduced me to them with their single, Death of a Tune. I like to sing to their music in my car when I'm driving long distances. They're really amazing, even if a piece of paper makes the lead singer turn into a diva.

Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton - Knives Don't Have Your Back
Emily Haines is really great in Metric, but she's much better alone. The only thing to be said about this album is that it's beautifully depressing. Total gut-punch.

Mika Miko -C.Y.S.L.A.B.F.
R.I.P. Mika Miko. Nevar forget. What I really love about Mika Miko is that they're fun. They're just plain fun. They don't (or didn't) seem to take themselves too seriously. This album has been my studio album since I first got my hands on it, which was a long time after it came out. Regardless, it's a quick listen that I keep on repeat.
